Objectives and Activities

IO1 - Best Practices for Active Ageing

Université Catholique de Lille coordinates all partners in the development of “Best Practices for Active Ageing”; this will be an online, browsable and searchable section of the project website, providing sports, daily behaviour, diet and health, social inclusion, lifelong learning best practices. The report will not just be published as an interactive web application, and will be used as a knowledge base for orientation and recommendation tools that will be developed in IO2.

Results: reports and analysis will be published with Open License in the Project Results section.

IO2 - ActivAge Self-Assessment and Recommendation Tool

Znanstveno-Raziskovalno Sredisce Koper leads this output, developed by all partners. Users will be asked to fill in an online survey through the project website offering an accessible, easy to understand user interface. Analysing basic demographic data, users’ behaviour and lifestyle, risky behaviours, sports’ attitude, the system will provide a user profiling able to identify possible good behaviours, risks and treats, guiding the user to overcome the gap between their current behaviour and the best practice to be carried out.

Results: The assessment and recommendation tool will be available online.

IO3 - ActivAge Digital Knowledge Centre for the Silver Age

Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO will coordinate all partners in designing, developing and piloting the Knowledge Centre. The Digital Knowledge Centre, based on the project website, will contain:

  1. an education centre: open e-learning modules, based on recorded video-lessons and deepening materials (such as activity sheets, transcripts, slideshows and presentations). Each module and each single content (at a minimum granularity level) will be “recommendable” by Recommendation system developed in O2.
  2. an information and reference centre: the interested user can also find which centres, which swimming pool, which institute can provide services or support her/him near where s/he lives to obtain support and services recommended by the system. Services categorised in the map will be “read” and suggested by the Recommendation system developed in O2.

Results: the Knowledge Center will be the main online output of the project, and will be a web-based application. Training contents will be provided through UNINETTUNO learning environments.
